Welcome to www.racingandgreen.com, the website for gardener, photographer, lecturer and writer Mark Saunders.  

​Originally born in Brighton, I have lived and worked in West Sussex for nearly thirty years. I am a family man, dog lover and passionate photographer.

​I have spent my entire working life in gardens and for the last 26 years I have managed the gardens at Fittleworth House. The natural world is also very close to my heart and I am a keen birdwatcher and recorder of species.

   Goodwood in West Sussex is my favourite  other place in the world and I have met so many of my racing heroes there. I am also a fan of Science fiction films, Matchbox cars, Mini Cooper's, hot chocolate and good books.

So there we have it - Racing AND Green, the passions of my life!
